Fungal Nail Treatment

Treatment for fungal nails typically involves assessment to diagnose the infection and determine the appropriate course of action. Often the nails require debridement and reduction of the thickened nail and oral or topical antifungal medication. At Toorak Village Podiatry we also offer laser treatment for fungal nails.

Often the treatment may take several months with regular reduction of the infected nail. It is important to manage the environment including decontaminating footwear and socks to prevent future infections.
